A Sadhya is a generous procession of curries, thorans, pickles, pappadam and payasams — each with its own place on the banana leaf. Here’s your guide to the spread.
As a rule of thumb: round one is rice, parippu, ney & pappadam; round two with sambar; round three with pulissery. Be creative with rasam and pacha moru.
Onam Sadhya FAQs
Is the Sadhya different at Mahabelly Saket vs Mahabelly Canteen? Why the price difference?
For Onam this year, we’re serving the exact same menu at Mahabelly Saket and both Mahabelly Canteens — there’s no difference in the food or the experience on the plate. The only variation is the setting: Saket offers a more premium ambience, while the Canteens have a more casual vibe. That’s what the pricing reflects.
Can I order from the regular menu during Sadhya days?
No. Only the Sadhya is served from 24–27 August. A limited selection of non-veg appetisers is available for dine-in.
What if I booked the wrong slot?
Please make a fresh booking for the correct slot, then email us with both receipts to request a refund on the incorrect one (subject to availability).
What if I’m running late for my dine-in reservation?
We can’t hold the table beyond your slot. Please arrive on time with your full group.
Can I bring my own containers for takeaway?
Unfortunately no — our operations are at full capacity during these days.
Is white rice an option?
No. All Sadhyas come with Kerala Red Matta Rice only.
I didn’t receive confirmation. What should I do?
Please check your spam folder. If not found, email connect@mahabelly.com with your payment details.
Can I book for more than 4 people?
Book separate blocks in the same time slot. We’ll do our best to seat you together (max 6 on one table in special cases), but can’t guarantee it.
Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable. You may pass your ticket to someone else by sharing your confirmation.
